How to Store Tuna

Prep
Thoroughly remove any excess moisture from tuna steaks with paper towels.

Separate
Line the bottom of a GladWare® food protection container with paper towels. Place tuna steaks in a single layer or stack them between paper towels.

Refrigerate
Cover with another paper towel, seal and store in the refrigerator. Do not wrap tuna steaks in plastic ClingWrap before storing.

Place
If possible, place food protection container on a bed of crushed ice inside a larger container.
Keeps up to 3 months
How to Freeze Tuna

Place
Place tuna in Freezer Zipper bags or FreezerWare™ containers.

Fill
Fill with water, submerging fish. Leave 1/2-inch headroom.

Freeze
Seal and place in the deepest part of the freezer.
