Don’t wash okra pods.

Seal
Wrap okra in dry paper towels and seal in a Glad® Food Storage Zipper Bag.

Cut
Cut holes in the bag to allow for air circulation.

Okra is best used as soon as possible.

How to Freeze Okra

Boil
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Wash and trim okra stem (don't expose seeds).

Blanch
Blanch for 3–4 mins depending on size. Then, plunge in ice water for 3–4 mins.

Pack
Dry okra and pack into Freezer Zipper bags.

Freeze
Remove as much air as possible if using bags, then seal. Place in the deepest part of the freezer.
